FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION

What does the texture of your Vitamin C serum feel like on the skin?
Our Vitamin C serum has a lightweight, fluid texture—similar to a light syrup—that glides easily onto the skin. It absorbs quickly without leaving a sticky or greasy residue, making it ideal for layering under moisturiser and sunscreen.
How do I know if 15% Vitamin C is the right strength for my skin?
A 15% concentration of Vitamin C strikes a balance between potency and tolerability. It’s ideal for those wanting to fade dark spots, brighten dull skin, and fight environmental stress. If you have sensitive or reactive skin, consider starting with a lower strength (e.g. 5–10%) and gradually work up. Always perform a patch test before full application to ensure compatibility.
Can I use this serum alongside other active ingredients like retinol or niacinamide?
Yes. Vitamin C pairs well with niacinamide and hyaluronic acid. For retinol, it’s generally best to use Vitamin C in the morning and retinol at night to reduce the risk of irritation. If layering actives, always follow with a moisturiser and sunscreen to protect and calm the skin.
Why has the colour of my serum changed over time?
Vitamin C can oxidise over time, when exposed to air, light, or heat. This may cause the serum to turn yellow or dark orange. A slight colour shift is normal and does not necessarily mean the serum is ineffective.
Are there any side effects associated with a 15% Vitamin C serum?
Most users tolerate 15% Vitamin C well, but some may experience mild redness, tingling, or irritation—particularly when first starting out. These effects are usually temporary. To minimise the risk, apply every other day initially and gradually increase usage. Discontinue use if persistent irritation occurs and consult a dermatologist.
How should I store my serum to maintain its efficacy?
Store the serum in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat. Ensure the cap is tightly closed after each use to prevent oxidation. For extra protection, you may store it in the refrigerator to help preserve potency.
Does the serum contain any fragrance or irritants?
No, our serum is free from added fragrances and harsh irritants, making it suitable for sensitive skin.
Is it suitable for all skin types?
Yes. The serum is formulated to be compatible with most skin types, including normal, oily, sensitive and combination skin. If you have very dry or compromised skin, pair it with a hydrating moisturiser to support the skin barrier.
Can I use this product during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Vitamin C is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. However, if you’re using other actives or have concerns, we recommend checking with your healthcare provider before introducing new skincare products.
Can I use this serum daily?
Yes, the serum is designed for daily use. Apply 2–3 drops in the morning to clean, dry skin before moisturising and applying sunscreen. If you have sensitive skin, start with every other day and increase as tolerated.
Does this help with acne or acne scars?
While not a direct acne treatment, Vitamin C can help reduce post-acne hyperpigmentation (dark spots) and support healing by calming inflammation and boosting collagen. It works well when combined with products containing niacinamide, salicylic acid, or azelaic acid.
